25 Beautiful Homes Magazine, November 2026

Our Chelsea Cottage project features in the November 2026 issue of 25 Beautiful Homes, as home no. 12 in their “Bijou & beautiful” feature.

The brief came from a young Canadian couple who, after living all over the world, chose London as home. They found a small early 19th-century, three-storey townhouse in a village-like corner of southwest London. It needed a top to toe renovation but had room for a roof terrace. They wanted it to feel contemporary and cosy for two, and easy to open up to visiting family and friends.

The Approach

Sarah joined at the very start, working alongside project manager Mark Taylor of Fulwell Property Consultants and Ethos Construction. The renovation was delivered on time and on budget.

The couple’s own mid-century dining table, chairs and sideboard set the direction for the scheme. The whole ground floor was opened up into one sitting, dining and kitchen space, with each area defined by furniture groupings and a warm, earthy palette of whites, natural wood and soft greens, blues and greys. In a house this size every corner counts, so bespoke joinery runs throughout, from alcove shelving to wardrobes shaped to the slope of the eaves. The clients chose most of the art themselves, so the house reflects who they are.
